We are excited to update citizens on the progress of our new Darlington County Museum. This 9,000 sq. ft. museum addition is the gift of Carolyn “Bet” Norment Phillips who left an estate bequeath of $4 million dollars to the Historical Commission for the purpose of building a county museum in 2019. Bet’s love of history and her commitment to Darlington County is to the benefit of us all. Construction is slated to begin in early 2021.
