The Historical Commission & Museum has a vast array of documents and artifacts in our collections. These range from historical photographs, genealogical data, antiques, fossils, historical documents, and other items.  We are actively collecting artifacts as we strive to grow and strengthen our collections. Your donation will help us create more robust exhibits, education programs, and scholarly research opportunities.

Volunteers are the life-blood of any museum, public or private. Without volunteers giving of their time, most museums would fail. At the DCHC&M, volunteers provide many essential services to the museum. Volunteers greet visitors, help with after-hours events, programs, provide tours, perform administrative duties and assist with cataloging the museum’s collection.

It’s a fun way to get involved, meet new people, and learn about the fascinating historical narrative of Darlington County.
